Blending the symbolism and storytelling of folk music with pop melodies and the drive of alternative rock, All Poets & Heroes produces songs that are at once introspective, exposed and hopeful. Comprised of songwriters Rob McCall (lead vocals, guitar) and Corey Jordan (guitar, vocals), and Billy Harrison on drums – the band creates songs that question and consider human existence. They chose the name “all poets and heroes” from Henry David Thoreau’s Walden feeling it a fitting testament to their lyrics. The group self-released Where We Lived and What We Lived For on October 1, 2017. They constructed this EP to display the full potential of their sound, but left room to grow. At a time when the world seems focused on seeking material success and wanting more of everything, AP&H is making music that connects us with human nature and creates hope that people are meant for more. The band juxtaposes a raw rock sound with lyrics and melodies crafted like wandering poetry and linked by catchy refrains, to create music that listeners can relate to and a live sound that makes audiences move.
